A Walk Through Homestead Village

During Grandpa's Birthday Party, Colter wanted me to go on a walk with him outside to see all the "neat stuff" behind the museum. What a surprise to find a little Village out there and LOTS of picture perfect places. We both enjoyed our walk as the snow started to come down around us. Here are some pictures to share with you...

Thanks for coming along. See ya later!

Farm Fresh!

Were getting more and more eggs from the chicken coop every day as the spring weather warms and daylight increases. So I won't have to buy eggs anymore hopefully...
And... Breakfast Egg Bake coming soon to CKR. It's easy, it's yummy, I think you'll like it... Stay Tuned...

3 of 52-Old Shep

On our recent quick trip over east of the Mountains for Randy's Grandpa's 90th birthday party, we stopped at the burial site of Old Shep. Here I am* with the kids at the grave of the beloved dog.

Here is the story of Old Shep. It's worth a quick read...
Here is Dad with kids...
The kids thought it was a neat story and it was fun to get out and take a little walk. And now YOU know the story of Old Shep...Forever Faithful.

Riding the Bus

Kyla road the bus home from school for the first time last week. She has been wanting to ride the bus for a long time but we are so close to the school and the bus stop is far enough away from our house that I have always just made the trip to the school. But finally, she convinced me to let her ride it home once and a while. So here she is getting off the bus for the first time...
Walking home and a little embarrassed that her Mom and little brother and sister are waiting for her...
How does she feel about her new little freedom? She's "walking on air"... Just take a close look at the picture... ;)
How does Mom feel about it? I suppose I'll get used to it someday...

Dear Daddy,

We're headed out! We'll miss you!

Colter say's "NO COCOA PUFFS!"

Kyla say's "Check on my cocoon everyday please"

Maya say's "I miss you"

And please feed the beta fish too.

Love, kids and me.

P.S. We have a suprise for you in the garage!...Hurry home!

Prairie Friends

On our recent trip, I took a picture of this painting at a museum. I love this pictures. It is so peaceful, so calming, so "Spring-y".

Speaking of Spring. It is beautiful out side today-this first day of spring break! Sunny and 53 degrees.

So we will now go out and enjoy this day and I will post pictures from our weekend later.
Until then...
