So Busy Doing Nothing

You are worried about seeing them spend their early years doing nothing. What! Is it nothing to be happy? Nothing to skip, play and run around all day long? Never in their life will they be so busy again.

Lovely post...I would have my boys do the same but yesterday they might have blown away. I plan to post a picture of a tree that blew over from the wind. I am so glad it did not hit the house!!! Also I love my cup. I use it to drink coffee in the morning. :)

I like this quote too. As a parent in these modern times, sometimes I wonder if we should be more involved in all the activities that thier classmates are in and then I'm reminded that the busier we are, the less time they would have to just be kids. They learn so much from taking things apart, building things up, exploring, working together.

Really, they do a lot. Get up every morning, get ready for school, choke down breakfast and vitamins, brush teeth and hair, out the door to school where they have only 3, 15 minutes recesses, back home for a snack and a little time to "do nothing" before supper, reading/piano, and then bed. I wish they had more time to do nothing but then... this is life and we live, learn and make the best of each day!
