To Many Pixels

Backyard Rink by Randy

Recently we purchased a new camera. Both Randy and I are trying to learn how to use it. I should say Randy's learning and I'm just floundering around with it.

Anyway, the hardest part for me is that we went from a 3.? megapixel camera (awesome for uploading to blog) to a 15.? megapixel camera (NOT awesome for uploading to blog).

So what I'm saying is I'm struggling with this new camera and all the new stuff to learn. But, finally tonight I made myself figure out how to downsize my pictures so they will be blog-worthy, so... I should start updating again on a fairly regular basis...

A midnight goodnight to you,

Hawaiian Christmas

Here are a few pictures from Kyla's (3rd thru 5th grade) Christmas Concert that we went to last Tuesday evening. The theme of the concert was Christmas around the world and her class dressed up Hawaiian. We settled for a sundress with a light sweater(!) and a flower in her hair. ;)

Girls being girls!

Singing Mele Kalikimaka with her class!

Randy got some more fun videos. I would share them on here but I think they are huge so I will have to find out more before I try to upload them for the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins!

May your days be merry and bright!

36 of 52: Plagued By The Paparazzi

As I mentioned in my previous 52 week post, I have no lack of photographs of myself lately. Here is just another one that the paparazzi my husband snapped of me when I wasn't aware of it. I think we were just heading out the door for one of the kids concerts. I'm surprised I look SO calm...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I will go into hiding in my own house! ;)

Goodnight,

Forever In Blue Jeans

52 Weeks is a year long challenge for YOU to be in a picture once a week for 52 weeks. We are always the ones behind the camera, this is YOUR chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with our family. We are glad you are joining this challenge. More importantly your family will really enjoy having you in the picture. Thanks for playing along! Oh, you can just jump in now with 1 of 52, you're not getting off that easy! Now go take a picture!

Our Little Penguin

Last Thursday evening was Colter's (Kindergarten thru 2nd grade) Christmas concert/play at school. Here are a few pictures from the evening. Randy took these pictures with our new camera.

Colter spent a long time looking for us in the audience. This is his teacher, Miss R., standing behind him...

Here are Colter and his classmates singing...
The play was about how the penguins saved Christmas. It was pretty cute to watch. Actually it was pretty hilarious to watch! There were 9 classes of little penguins in all and you can imagine all the entertaining things going on down on the performance floor!

We have some great video's too. Colter enjoyed watching them after the concert the other night and we all laughed and laughed. It will be interesting to bring out in about 15 years. ;)

35 of 52: Winter Evenings

We have been enjoying knitting and reading on these cold winter evenings.

I have LOTS and LOTS of picture of myself this week so I picked the one of the ones I liked the best. This one is second to the one of me waking up last Sunday morning but I refuse to post that one! The reason for ALL the pictures is that my husband brought home a new camera last week and he has been taking lots of pictures with it. He's trying to figure out all the settings. I plan to let him figure it out and then I'll ask him to show me everything. ;)

Hugs,
