So... I can now say that I am the mother of a two year old and a teenager both.
It's pretty awesome, and sweet and wonderful!
Oh, you know, we have our moments... but I can honestly say our two year old brings so much joy to our family and so does our 13 year old!!! Just love her spunky, kind-hearted, helpful, smiley self.
She pretty much fills right in where I leave off whether it's babysitting, cleaning, baking, or getting ready for company.
I really don't think I could get along very well without her, especially after 13 years!!!!!!
My sweet husband gave me a new camera for my birthday, in the form of a phone.
This means I have my camera/phone with me, where-ever I go now days. This may (or may not) be the coolest thing ever to be able to capture anything(snap), anywhere(snap), anytime(snap). It may (or may not) be causing photo overload to my computer system and my brain!
So, the above pictures are some of my favorites that I've taken on my new phone so far. I have to remember to get out the big camera sometimes and use it. But this has been fun, so very fun.
While we were here, on the highline trail looking way down the valley and zoomed in on Lake McDonald...
The kids were down there on the far side of Lake McDonald, swimming in that cold glacial lake... They also went on a little hike at Avalanche and bike ride through Apgar... Thank You! Grandpa and Grandma for the fun sleepover complete with stories and pancakes, and an extra special day in the park with the kids! Thanks for sharing your picture too.
Here are some pictures from our hike this last weekend.
Chances are if you've been to Glacier Park, you've probably driven on the Going to the Sun Highway. You can see the highway in the above picture cutting it's way through the mountains. This Highline Trail that we took starts out at Logan Pass at the top of Going to the Sun and makes it's way above the highway for 11.6 miles until it meets back up with the highway. Just the beginning... Looking across at Mt Oberlin. This was the mountain we climbed for our anniversary last year. This mountain side is called The Garden Wall because of it's beautiful foliage and flowers all along it. The back of the mountain is also known for it's beauty... Along the way... Taking a little break near Haystack Butte... and looking back to Logan Pass were we came from. Looking down on Going to the Sun... And looking WAY down the valley to Lake McDonald...
Just another trail shot... Granite Park Chalet in view... A welcoming Front Porch on Granite Park Chalet!
And a very rustic but very cute room inside the chalet... The burned out area from the Chalet back down to the road. It's amazing how it is already growing back! We really watched for bears on this part of the trail...
Catching a shuttle bus back up to the pass, 11.6 miles and 7 hours later. Do I look a little tired? And here are some more pictures...
Here I am* on a hike that Randy and I took for our 12 anniversary in Glacier Park this last weekend. You all should come hike in Glacier sometime. There is nothing like it!
