October Complete

The pirate is out of control, the baby elephant is crying, the witch is cackling,
Cleopatra is pouting and they haven't even had any candy!

This year, we added dressing up to our "pumpkin bars and jack-o-lanterns with friends" tradition.  We started this low-key Halloween tradition after we found out about certain food allergies that one of our little goblins had.  The kids had fun dressing up this year, just like they did back in the days when Mom and Dad weren't so MEAN, and when we let them go trick-or-treating. lol!  Melita enjoyed it all so much and didn't have a clue she was missing out on anything! :)

Okay, I'll call that enough for tonight.

Randy's home tomorrow after being gone for 10 days!  We are so ready to have him back!!!

Have a great weekend everyone,

Alison

October Birthdays!

I completely skipped over September so I could post these October Birthday pages tonight.  Just skipping around a little from here to there... I guess that fits my personality pretty well.  :)

On the Saturday before Maya's birthday, all of us girls plus her friend, Sabrina, went to the Pumpkin Patch to celebrate her birthday.  Then we did a banner craft after that at home and played some more.

Then on Randy's real birthday, the day before Maya's birthday, we all celebrated with cake and company!  Alice and Carolyn were here to join us.  Then on the next day, Maya's real birthday, she brought cupcakes to school and spent some time with Grandpa and Grandma to celebrate with them.

Maya has been dreaming and wishing for a lap harp from Hearthsongs for a very long time.  Last year after her birthday, she saved enough money to buy it and I tried twice to order it but it was never available.  She finally got it for her birthday this year and she was one happy girl!  The sound is beautiful and it came with tuning instructions and song cards too!

Maya thought it was the funnest birthday celebration ever... something that she says every year. :)

Now, back to September...

I Miss July...

July pages are done and in the 2013 album.  I have been so happy with how my family loves these albums!  Can't wait to fill in the missing years too.  I'm almost half way through 2006... yay!

So here are a handful of my July pages. I didn't share all of them but most of them for family and friends who like to keep up on whats going on in our life... a couple months late.

Beautiful days here.  Hope all are well!  Love, Alison

June is a song...

...and I love the tune.

Did we really go straight from June to October?  That's kinda what if feels like... the summers always fly by!

Here's to a wonderful October (which is nearly half way over too!)

13 Years Old!

So... I can now say that I am the mother of a two year old and a teenager both.

It's pretty awesome, and sweet and wonderful!

Oh, you know, we have our moments... but I can honestly say our two year old brings so much joy to our family and so does our 13 year old!!!  Just love her spunky, kind-hearted, helpful, smiley self.

She pretty much fills right in where I leave off whether it's babysitting, cleaning, baking, or getting ready for company.

I really don't think I could get along very well without her, especially after 13 years!!!!!!

Eleven Years Old!

Somewhere in the month of July, we celebrated Colter's 11th birthday (how is this possible)...

Colters birthday can pretty much be summed up with one word... KYLE!  It was so much fun to have his best buddy/cousin spend the night and go to the water park with him on his birthday!  Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the water park (Boohoo!)

Then the icing on the cake was to end the day at Grandpa and Grandma's house with Kyle's family and Grandparents who were visiting from Alaska!
