Flowers For Friday

Yes, I know the last flower is a weed. It's growing up around the chicken coop and I thought it was so pretty but soon realized it takes over very quickly and is taking over my strawberries in the garden. Randy hates it and says it is really hard to get rid of. He is declaring war on them now!

But this post is not about war. This post is about flowers. Aren't they pretty, even the last one?

Have a great weekend!

Looks like a morning glory. My grandma used to get them all the time in her flowerbeds. Kind of the deceiving weed that grows amongst the flowers! A little hint...if you cut them, they bleed "white blood".

Beautiful flowers...even the "weed" is pretty. Flowers add so much to a yard.

I am smiling over here...last year when I was home, I went for a walk behind my parents home and was so proud to come back with a handful of wildflowers...just to be told, half of them were WEEDS! Who knew weeds could be so pretty. Makes for a good spiritual thought.

Darcie, I was thinking the same thing about these "pretty weeds" They are so pretty growing up against the backdrop of the red chicken coop. But they have definitely become a problem!!!

Beautiful flower photos, Alison. I love looking straight into the centers of the morning glories... they almost have a light from within.
