Two More

Okay, it's 10:30 and I'm headed to bed now.  I just whipped out these two more pages for the family album while I was waiting for Melita to go to sleep.  She and I have been partners in misery (not really) these last few days with head colds.  Kyla too.  But Melita's moved into her ears, like they always do, so after a trip to the dr. yesterday, and a resulting round of antibiotics, she's feeling much better.  And now she's asleep, after playing in her crib for a while, and I will be sleeping soon (hopefully) too, after playing in my picmonkey for a while.  ;)

Some have asked about my scrapbooking.  I do all my pages either on "My Digital Studio" by Stampin' Up or on good ol' Picmonkey for free on the internet.  Lately, I've been just using Picmonkey because it's pretty fast and I love the simple pages with only pictures.  I LOVE fancy scrapbooking (it's ART, I tell ya) but right now, I'm going for the fast and furious.  I like our pictures to speak for themselves.  I love doing MDS for many of my pages too and I'm excited to get back to that soon.  As for now, PICMONKEY and COSTCO all the way!

Goodnight to all...

Thanks to my friend Amy for joining me.  It was fun to see your pictures throughout the week too.  And I'm so thankful to follow along with you as you share your world in beautiful pictures!

Just this for now,
Alison

#sevendaysofthankfulness

Dear Blogging Friends and Instagram Friends,

It's only seven days till Thanksgiving.  I'm sharing some of the things I'm thankful for at #sevendaysofthankfulness over on Instagram.  Please join me in sharing what you are thankful for by posting your Instagram pictures with the hashtag #sevendaysofthankfulness.  Then on Thanksgiving day (or thereafter), I will post a collage of pictures that everyone posted!

"Thanks" for joining the fun,
A.

P.S. Apparently I was in a hurry when I did this post this morning and didn't edit it.  Sorry if I confused anyone.  It's #sevendaysofthankfulness... Eeeek!  I changed it above.

Here are two more page layouts for our family scrapbook...

. .
.
To order my pages online through Smugmug (which I've done before) costs me $6.95 per 12x12 sheet plus shipping/handling.  Costco is a fraction of the price at $2.99 per 12x12 sheet and I can run down to the store in only a few hours and pick 'em up.  Lovin' it!

This is all for February now. Onward to March...

Scrapbooking 2012

I've been working on scrapbook pages for our 2012 Family scrapbook. Here are my January and February collages that I did today while Melita was taking her nap...

I'm really in love with this form of scrapbooking right now. I've been printing my collages (friday photo dump, etc.) out in 12X12 pages at Costco and they are beautiful and fast!!! So excited to add these two to the book.

It's already midweek... hope your enjoying yours! Alison

Hello! and Oh Yeah!

Here is a little glimpse of Melita these days.  Grandma, she likes to talk to you on the phone.  Thought you would enjoy!  Notice her summer hat and her winter boots-two of her very prized possessions.  Oh, and calculators make great cell phones too.

Some other things she loves right now...

-copying everything we say!  We all get such a kick out of this, especially when she tries to say those big words and complete sentences.
-putting lotion on her hands and rubbing it around ;)
-running up to us and saying "C'MON, C'MON!"  Then she grabs our finger and pulls us off to see something or to get something down for her to play with.
-walking down the stairs using the handrail and jumping off the last step.
-begs to go "side, side, side (outside)".
-(I'll try to think of some more...)

Hope all are having a super week!
Alison and family
