50 of 52: Spring Break Highlights!

We didn't break for it and leave town. We just stayed put and enjoyed a break at home. It's just what we needed. Here are the top twelve things we did for Spring Break (not necessarily in order)...

#12-Burned the burn pile.

#11-Spent a couple nights camping out in the basement!
#10-Looked at airplane magazines with Daddy.
#9- Put together puzzles and played Monopoly (required a little patients from Mommy).

#8- A trip to the library and lots of books to read.
#7-Cleaned out chicken coop and got 14 new baby chicks.Add Image
Add Video
#6- Worked on the tractor with Dad in the garage. (after exhausting all other methods, this stubborn metal part finally had to be cut off with a dremel tool!)

#5-Had a play day with some special friends.

#4-Decorated Eggs as a family.

#3-A fun Easter Egg party at Dave, Denay and Caitlyn's
#2-Lunch one day at a Mexican restaurant with Grandpa and Grandma.

and #1- Seeing the baby pigs at the pig farm! (pictures to come... tomorrow)

That pretty much sums up our spring break. Here are a few more pictures...

Hope all had a great spring break as well!

Dear Lady of the At-home family,
Sounds (and looks) wonderful!
We stayed home and cleaned out our chicken coop too! It was high time. We only have 11 hens and a rooster right now, but thinking of MORE.
love,
at home, but NOT cooped up anymore,

Looks like a fun week! Love the tent in the basement, how fun is that!!?!
My favorite picture is the one of Colter holding the egg in the dye/cup and resting his chin on his hand and smiling - such a typical little-kid-patiently-dying-easter-eggs-picture.
Oh and I totally feel your pain (shaking and nervousness) when you're presenting your DL and info to the police. Why do they have to have such an effect on us like that? haha.

Hi, Alison.

Just stopping by to see what you are up to. I have been swamped and haven't had time for visiting lately but I am always wondering how some of my blogging buddies are doing. Glad to see Spring break was fun, restful and productive!
