When I saw this awesome picture in my stash this morning, I knew it was the perfect one to post today!
This picture brings so many feelings and emotions to my heart. Memories too! See that old tent? I remember that! See all those smiling faces? I remember them too! ;) See those old cars? I don't remember those but they are so cool! Maybe some of you remember them?
Randy and I were trying to figure out who everyone is in the picture. I think we have everyone figured out except for the littlest ones. Fun to see Larry (Randy's Dad) in front of Freeman and Julia right in front of Larry. Are we right?
We are looking forward to our own special days this week-same place only 57 years later. :)
What's around the next corner on Memory Lane?

What a great picture to see first thing this morning as we anticipate Ronan 2010. The littlest one is Duane in Henry's arms and Ken and Marvin are on either side of Julia. How much they all must have enjoyed getting to be together there. And when you think about how little they had in the way of conveniences that we have today - you have to appreciate what it took to get them all there.
What a wonderful picture! Janette, I like what you say about appreciating what it took to get them all there. I'm sure thankful for what that generation did!
Hopefully one year, my little family will make it to Ronan. It still feels like my "home" convention!
Ah, my heart is in the same place, sis. I hope you have a wonderful time there. Very neat photo!
I always think of a story one of the 3 sisters told of it raining and being so muddy and cold, and diapers wdn't dry, and little boys clothes were wet and filthy, but everyone was in the same boat! and happy to be at convention! And, we will be happy to be there too, in a couple of days!! Thanks Alison for this post.
What a neat picture! Sure makes one glad for those who faithfully walked before so that our own generation can know truth.
Dear Friend,
Glad to pop over here and see you are doing well. Enjoy your days this week!

Oh I always love checking in on you, and seeing what you are up to! This pictures is so lovely. I have one of my great grandma all lined up with her friends that I just adore. It inspires me and makes me smile every time I see it. :)
What a wonderful picture...Larry looks a lot like Russell in this picture. We'll be thinking of you at conv this week.
I love this picture, and although haven't been to that particular place, I can relate with memories and old pictures of our own special spot thru the years!
What a neat picture. Grandma had just been telling Ted and I about the trips out there, and how much they looked forward to their special days. would love to be there with you all. Have special days.
Amy
Amy, I seriously don't know how they did it back then! It's a LONG trip nowadays and to think they did it back then it's just amazing!!!
thanks for ALL your messages! It sure has made my perspective change in a lot of ways today! What a picnic I have compared to them and yet I'm sure we share so much in common-anticipation, joy, love, laughter and an abundance of provision...
Very nice. I've been appreciating old pictures more recently and realizing that soon our pictures will be "old" pictures being appreciated by others who are wondering who that is in that picture.
dear Timeless photo of an Ageless fellowship,
By now, you would have gone and come home. It is special to think of others all over the world down through the all the years, who have been gathering together to enjoy times like this. What a priveledge to pass on to the next generations.
