I really love this little bench and basket set-up (above) that I have upstairs in the living room. All of the kids toys are downstairs in the playroom but I needed a little place to store a few things upstairs for Lita so that I wouldn't have to run up and down for things to keep her happy.
This birthday gift from my husband is also something I really like! It is... a cookbook that holds millions of recipes, a bible, a calender, an alarm clock, an organizer and note-taker, a dictionary, a thesaurus, a research device, an instant messenger and voice communicator, a photo album that stores millions of photos, a camera, and an instant blog checker. Am I forgetting anything? And it's all contained within this pretty notebook cover. The Apple iPad is really something.
I picked up these sweet bibs at target for just a few bucks. They are Velcro, easy to clean and so colorful. I'm all about 'colorful' as we move into our drab, dreary time of year...
As much as I like color I like contrast too. This chair is my very first re-upholstering job ever. Pretty impressive huh? heehee! We bought this directors chair in an online auction for Randy's grandparents belongings when they were trying to disperse them to extended family. I think we paid around 5$ for it and it had a faded, well-used orange canvas seat and back on it. I ended up picking out this black and white mazey-looking decorator fabric to redo it and I love the finished look!
Last but not least, I love this new soap we have been enjoying. My cousin, Heather, makes it from her goat's milk and it is very moisturizing. After I wash my hands with it I don't have that dried-out feeling but instead my hands remain soft. No lotion needed! And it smells absolutely wonderful!
I really want to share some with you. I have 2 Goat Milk Soap bars to give away to 2 lucky people. An Almond & Oatmeal one and a Huckleberry one.
Please leave me a comment in my comment section at the bottom of this post telling me one thing that you love (share the love). This is for anyone and everyone to enter!
If you visit Heather's soap site The Goat Lady Soap, where you can read about the ingredients and the benefits of using the soap, feel free to enter another comment.
Also, if you are a regular visitor to my blog feel free to enter another comment.

Alison

Visited Heather's beautiful blog!
Just blogged about your giveaway!
I am a definite regular of your blog!
PS Have you tried looking in Blogger's Help Forums to see if someone has a comment problem similar to yours? I also had a problem, but when I switched to a pop-up comment window like yours, it went away. Since you already have a pop-up window, maybe it's something else.
I love being a farm wife!!
I just visited Heather's blog and love it!
I love the smells of fall. Pumpkins, spices, and crisp air!
Heather's site is great! I didn't know she was your cousin. We used to play together as children!

Oh, and enter me for the soap giveaway... I do so love your blog. :) (Loved your last mama post, too!)
Something I love... Just one? Well, since were talking about Apple devices already I would have to say my iPhone. Sitting down with my phone, a cup of coffee, and a good blog list makes my day! I live the iPad too- just can't justify it when I have an iPhone and MacBook.
And of course I've been a long time reader of your awesome blog! And I would love to try Heather's soaps. I may just have to buy some anyway.
I love how your director's chair turned out. It makes me happy to see G&G's old things turned into something new and useful! I have a chair of my own to makeover one of these days.
I mentioned you on my blog too. Gave me a little motivation to get a post of my own up! :) Have a great weekend.
I love: happy kids and apple orchards and summer and relaxing and searching for treasures...the list could go on!
(I have those same Target bibs for C and they are cute & great)!
I visited Heather's blog--that soap looks wonderful!
Thanks!
So much to comment on in this post. I do wonder if you like the Ipad better then a laptop. Been wondering(since we are in the market), if I would like bloggin on one of those verses a laptop. would love your input.
I LOVE AUTUMN, but that is nothing new, huh? I LOVE that I can come over to your blog and get a little taste of MT anytime I feel homesick.
Went over to Heathers blog before I started commenting, and couldn't help but think how much Montanan's will love the Huckleberry scent.
I do stalk(okay, follow) your blog every chance I get.
I love spending time with family!! Fun to watch my nieces/nephews grow up and learn new things!!
I don't stalk you, but follow and read your blog every chance I can :)
I looked at Heather's blog..it is interesting! :) Lots of soap in one place...and I like her "sticker" on the page, about hiding from laundry!
And yep it's on my blog :) Take a peek if ya don't believe me! :)
I forgot to say that of course, I follow your blog! : )

Alison,
Love your blog! But don't put my name in the hat, since you already game me a bar. I love the fragrance - takes me back to my youth (long ways back). Also love Heather's site.
Aunt Karen
We love following your blog! I love your director's chair redo to. And your poem about the moon. You are quite talented dearie!
What a fun post! *Nice gift* Fun chair, and such a handy storage for a few baby toys, keeping them tidy otherwise is a chore- I'd agree with. So glad to hear from you! Your friend
I'm just going to leave one comment and see if you'll be shipping soap to Ireland! :) Of course I follow your blog, I love your blog, you take awesome pictures, write great poetry, are so crafty, have great recipes and are an amazing mom. Sometimes I'm so scared to check your blog cause I feel so inadequate after!!
1 thing I love is my new country and really hope to be your tour guide one day :) xxoo
I love how excited Ollie was to see his daddy last night when we got home from Mandan. He couldn't decide if he wanted to run or laugh or cry. It was really sweet :)
I visited Heather's site! Someday I would love to have some milk goats of my own.
Dear Awesome Ali,
I love Autumn... my little fall-ish display on the piano, the comfortable routine we've settled into with school, the breeze ruffling the leaves and fresh laundry, my pumpkins on the steps and carting the 2 year old to garage-sales where we find treasures for pennies.
Love,
Lovin' in NE
P.S. I visit as often as I can... Lita's little face calls me back! :)
P.P.S. Visited Heather and trying to squelch the desire to break out my soap-making book... I'm too busy for that right now!!! :)
I love autumn and the surprises it brings: the last roses of summer, days of rain intermingled with days of Indian summer....
I do read your blog and enjoy everything about it! Like other transplanted Montanans mentioned, it reminds us of our home state!
Heather's soap sounds wonderful. I love the idea of not needing lotion after washing one's hands. :)
I love you
-Kyla
I love focusing on love! So many things can grab our attention away from people and things we love...I love grabbing love back and focusing on having more of it in my life. I love people..and memories of them...and looking forward to seeing them in real life...and reading about them and interacting with them even if it's via technology..better than nothing! and I love autumn..this time of year is my favorite...off to enjoy another day of it! and i love a good soap! I'll come back and try and mention this on my blog soon, k?
