Always Be My Love

I was so happy to finally get professional pictures done!
Thanks to Marianne Wiest for taking these for us.

It's been almost 20 years ago now, when we were dating,
that Randy and I used to go down by this river, not far from where
I grew up, and ride our bikes, take walks along the trails
 and take pictures.

Now, all these years later, we came back to have our family
pictures.  Here is a slide show of the rest of them...
(please go to the "auto" at the bottom of the video and
change the setting to 1080p for the best quality)

April 2015

Putting up the trampoline in the back yard.   The big burn pile behind the garden shed was also one of our Saturday projects in April.

On our trip home from Spring Break in Wyoming, we stopped at the Fox Creek Bed and Breakfast.
We had a wonderful breakfast with John, Ellen, Cousin Katie and her girls...

Decorating Easter Eggs...

And an Easter Egg hunt at the Kracks...

In April, we removed the old split rail fence from around the yard...

Melita likes to drive the tractor...

She likes to be Daddy's little helper...

Both Melita and Daddy got new bikes in April...

The kids set up both of their tents downstairs in the playroom and spent several nights there during April...

We had fun watching Grandpa give his power line safety talk one afternoon...

Here is some of the kids (missing about 8 others) in our field with Carolyn and Laura.  Such a great bunch of kids!

YAY!  I'm caught up again!

We have so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
Today is the last day of school!  YAY!
Hope all have a great summer.
I'll try and keep this thing up-to-date!
Adios...

March 2015

Here are some pictures of what went on in March!

Colter went on to County Science Fair and got a red ribbon.
All of the glues that he tested were pretty strong.  The hot glue was
the weakest hold.  The Elmers wood glue, JB weld, and Gorilla glue
all held up under lots of pull and often the wood broke before the glued joints!

Then came Maya's Science Fair.  Here she is just after she received a
Reserve Champion Award
in the 4th Grade Biological catagory...

Here she is with her project.  She watered her bean plants with Root Beer, Diet Root Beer,
Milk, Orange Juice, and Coffee.  She found that the plants watered with Diet Root Beer
and Coffee did the best.  Maybe it was the absence of sugar and the acidity in the liquids.
Anyway, it was a fun project!

In March Ryan and Jeannie and family came to visit us.
One evening, we got to go out to dinner together, just us couples.
It was SO NICE!

Kyla and Morgan...

And here they are out fishing.  Again!  Lane and Logan and Ryan got in on the fun this time...

Not too much later, Grandpa Larry came to visit us and they all went out fishing again.
This was the last hurrah!...

Melita and I got in a couple trips to the park to play on the playground as our
days started getting warmer...

Love these pictures of her having fun at the playground.  Our life gets so busy and sometimes
I forget to work in time for just her and I.  I was lucky to be able to do it a few times this spring!

For Spring Break, we headed down to Wyoming to visit Keith and Melinda and family.
It was horrifically windy on our trip down and we got stopped on the freeway between
Butte, Montana and Idaho Falls, Idaho by 2 semi's down on the road.
The kids climbed the hill as we were waiting for the semi to be removed from the road
and Kyla took these pictures.  You can see the semi laid across the road in this picture...

Looking back the other way  you can see the other semi laid down on the side of the road going East.
It was nice to get out of the car and walk around a bit and then we were headed on our way again,
fighting the wind the whole time...

We had a great time down in Jackson Hole.  Here we are on a walk we took under the Teton's.
Me, my Mom and my Sister...

Picnic lunch after our walk...

A walk and little shopping in Jackson...

We kept going back and back to this bouldering park while we were there...

It was great fun.  I think it's a great place to go when you start feeling like climbing the walls...

After we returned home, Kyla started checking into our area to see if anything was in the works for
a bouldering area here.  Sure enough, there is a group of people raising money to
put one up in one of our parks.  Should be getting it done soon!  So now we will have a place to
go when we feel like climbing the walls too! Here is more info for any of you locals... Kalispell Boulder Project.

8th Grade Graduate

Don't cry because it's over...
                             smile because it happened.
               ~Dr. Seuss

This morning, Kyla left on her 8th grade history trip at 6:00 am.  She'll graduate on Saturday and we'll have a little celebration for her on Sunday.  8th grade graduations aren't as big a deal as high school ones maybe, but for these kids, who have been together for nine years (since kindergarten), and will be going onto high school, it is going to be a big change for them.  I wish them all the best and ALL 8th grade graduates out there (whether they celebrate or not).  What an exciting time of life...

Congratulations Kyla!

February 2015

(San Diego in February)

Here is a summary of pictures from February.
In February, we headed east for Grandma Ruth's funeral.
It was nice to spend some time with family
and be together as we remembered our
dear Grandmother and Great Grandmother...

We got to meet a new little cousin, Addison...

After we got back home, our little Valentine girl turned another year older...

Then, we hosted a slumber party one night for some of "our girls".   Here we are skating the next afternoon...

Science projects continued.  Here is Randy helping Colter test his glued pieces of wood using a hanging scale...

Here is Colter at his Science Fair.  He got a blue ribbon...

Maya continued her Science Project.  Here she is measuring one of her bean plants...

Speaking of growing things.  In February, I got my first "bountiful basket"...

More fishing in February for Colter and Daddy and Grandpa Steve...

And Maya too...

Near the end of the month, Randy spent some time in San Diego for work.  Here are a few pictures from his time there...
