Our Family Trip 2015 : Sunday Down South!

The third day of our trip was Sunday.  We spent the morning at one of our fellowship meetings with some of our friends and then we all headed down to the Yellowstone River for a picnic lunch.  It was a beautiful afternoon and we enjoyed eating and visiting and watching the river go by.  All to soon, it was time to head on down the road again...

Just a quick stop along the way, near Custer's Battlefield...

Love this road picture below.  Our pickup and trailer took us many, many miles on this trip and we were cool and comfortable!  Gotta love that air conditioning in July!

Sunday evening, we pulled into some of our friends yard in Brodus, Montana...

After a wonderful supper together, we headed out to see all their sheep.  Another very memorable time on our trip!

So fun to be this close to the sheep.  None of us (except Randy) have ever been able to be around sheep very much.  It was neat to see the sheep responding to their shepherd...

Then we drove, and then walked down to the Powder River and spent some time there enjoying the beautiful evening...

And the beautiful mud...

Luckily Jeannie's grand kids do this often and she knows just what to do to get them all cleaned up!  It's actually quicksand that only goes down a little way before a solid gravel bed...

Heading back to the house we saw this...

And this, an old claim shanty on the property that they own...

Next morning we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, a bible study and then we all headed outside again.
There was more to see and do...

Colter got to help Cedric with the chores around the farm.  Our son made if clear that if we just stayed there for the rest of the trip he would be more than happy!

Before we knew it, it was time to jump in the pick-up (again) and head on down the road.  There is nothing like Southern Montana hospitality!  Unforgettable!

And on we went to Wyoming!
