In Like a Lion

So far March has given us lots more snow and low temperatures...

Here is Randy snow blowing his path between the chicken coop and the barn in 8 degrees. No recesses last week for the kids at school because of the below 0 temps. Now tonight it is raining and 39 degrees but more snow in the forcast for the week. We shall see what comes of it...

As for us? We are not complaining to much but...we are ready for spring! How about you?

We're Back...

After taking a break from blogging, I have decided to blog again. Here are a few things I've learned in the last 4 months...

-I don't have to turn the computer on every day.
-My days are just as busy as they were before.
-I missed blogging as a creative way to share our lives with friends and family.
-There is life beyond blogging but... blogging does add a little spice to life.

So here is an all new blog with the same address we had before. The last few months in pictures have been saved at www.hugsfromus.smugmug.com. I will still try and update this site as well.

Hugs from us!

Think On These Things

The peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true,

whatsoever things are honest,

whatsoever things are just,

whatsoever things are pure,

whatsoever things are lovely,

whatsoever things are of good report;

if there be any virtue,

and if there be any praise,

think on these things.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

-Philippians 4: 7-9

Beauty In the Badlands

Anything in any way beautiful derives its beauty from itself and asks nothing beyond itself.
Praise is no part of it, for nothing is made worse or better by praise.

~Marcus Aurelius

For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it.
For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it.
For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.
~Ivan Panin

May Day 2008

We were suprised this moring to have this may day package left on our doorstep. Thanks for all the goodies and flowers Auntie Mary! And then later Mom gave me this beautiful dried flower picture as a May Day gift. What a special piece of the prairie made by Amy at Amy's Pressed Flowers. Thanks so much Mom! I love it!
