I took this picture from our front yard on December 11th 2008. I was amazed at that time that even though there was snow in the mountains, there wasn't any on the valley floor yet. That was only a little over 3 months ago.
It's snowing again outside today but I'm reminded that it hasn't been a very long winter after all. Many around the state, Idaho and Wyoming and even other parts of the country have been swamped with winter storms and snow lately. What is your weather like?

I See Bare Toes!
After taking these pictures this morning, I had to go back in time and look at March pictures from years past. Here is the kids on March 19th 2007.
I see grass.
I see bare toes.
I see how much the kids have grown in only 2 years.
So, let me not wish my life away, as I sit here and long for spring!

Thankyou!
Thankyou all who have stopped by and said "Hi". It's great to hear from you!
We are still trying to come up with a good name for our new blog. Any suggestions out there?
Hope all are having a great St. Patricks day...

May luck be our companion
May friends stand by our side
May history remind us all

Lambing Season
Yesterday, we spent the afternoon at Dale and Bonnie's little hobby farm. Here is Bonnie and the kids feeding 3 little bum lambs in the garage...
Later we headed out to the barn to see the 30 ewes and 70 lambs. Here is a lucky momma with 4 babies!
Dale and Bonnie, you really take "hobby farming" to a new level!!! But you both look like your enjoying yourselves very much! Thanks so much for the special time on the farm!
Happy 6th Birthday Kyle!

So far March has given us lots more snow and low temperatures...
Here is Randy snow blowing his path between the chicken coop and the barn in 8 degrees. No recesses last week for the kids at school because of the below 0 temps. Now tonight it is raining and 39 degrees but more snow in the forcast for the week. We shall see what comes of it...
As for us? We are not complaining to much but...we are ready for spring! How about you?

We're Back...
After taking a break from blogging, I have decided to blog again. Here are a few things I've learned in the last 4 months...
-I don't have to turn the computer on every day.
-My days are just as busy as they were before.
-I missed blogging as a creative way to share our lives with friends and family.
-There is life beyond blogging but... blogging does add a little spice to life.
So here is an all new blog with the same address we had before. The last few months in pictures have been saved at www.hugsfromus.smugmug.com. I will still try and update this site as well.
Hugs from us!
