Fairmont Hotsprings, Canada-February 2009

Stopping in a little Cafe in Eureka for lunch (above)

Swimming in the nice hot pool on a beautiful snowy evening. This was a fun experience for the kids, one I remember having when I was a kid.

Thanks to Becky and Bruce and kids for the fun time!

Here we walked up the hill to were the some of the hot water seeps out of the ground...

Walking up to the original "bath" house. It contains three separate rooms with shallow little baths in them. The hot water flows into and then out of the baths...

Love those Canadian Rockies!

We enjoyed driving around and seeing the sites...
It was the first time the kids had ever been to Canada. It may not happen again for a while because of needing passports now to get over the border. We had a wonderful time. Click here to see more pictures...

My parents have a condo up at Fairmount Hotsprings(MT), and we always went up over Christmas. LOVED the warm water on those freezing cold nights!

But you have to come back. Come to Fernie in the summertime and hike those beautiful B.C. Rockies. We can take you to some "in the rough" hotsprings. And you can stay with us - we'd love it. We have some funky little coffeeshops too. Get those passports!!!

P.S. All parcel pickup trips to Eureka are planned around lunch at Jax's cafe. Got to be the best little place.

Oh that looks like so much fun, pretty scenery too. so, if they didn't have passports how did you get there and back? I want to head up to Canada but was worried about that very same thing.

Looks so appealing right now. I would love to take our family up there sometime. We have all our passport apps - now to get them filled out and pictures taken, then we'll be set.

Thanks Debbie, we would LOVE that someday. Thanks for the invite. Too bad we live so near each other but have a border between us. We'll have to get those passports!!!

Carin, this trip was exactly a year ago when we could still get over with our birth certificates. ;)

Melinda, where are you planning on going, just to Cananada? How much does it cost to get them?
