Firemen & Policemen & Photographers, Oh My!

Colter class went on a field trip last Friday to a Fire Station, a Police Station, and a Photography Studio. Maya and I got to go along. Colter really watched out for his little sister. We learned a lot of cool stuff! Here is a slideshow of the morning...

Here are 3 things we learned...

At the Fire Station: If you wear a helmet when riding your bike, it protects your head so if you get in an accident, your head can help the rest of your body heal.

At the Police Station: Policeman don't fire a warning shot or shoot someone in the the leg or arm to stop them. When they shoot they take care of the problem. (I think we know what that means...) And they only shoot when their life or the life of someone else is in danger.

At the Photography Studio: There is great entertainment value in watching people get their picture taken(see pictures in slideshow above)

We appreciate those who serve our community and our local businesses!

That's so great! What a neat and fun time! We went on the 3rd grade field trip today, also to 3 places, very close together. Looks like you had a great time!

Fun stuff! I was talking to a teacher in I.F. recently and she said all of their year-end field trips were cancelled because of no funding. Can you imagine?

Glad you live where you do and your kids are enjoying everything we did growing up.

dear Out and About,
Ah, the year~end field trips were always so exiting. Three in one day, what great choices too! I am especially in favor of the photography studio. These kids see us taking pix all the time and that is exactly what they want to do. My 8 year old boy has been carrying my old camera that doesn't work the last week or so and 'shooting' everything and everybody. Wish i could actually HAVE some of the shots he did ha!
Our little grand daughter has taken some good ones for real for her mommy, and she is only 5.
love,
Young views through a lens sometimes surprises me

I remember going on this same field trip (at least the police & fire station) with one of you. I think it was John's class. Looks like the kids had a great time. Luv, GQ
