InstaGiggles

Hello out there!  Is anyone still around?

We're still here.  There is much to share... after I get my thoughts and pictures organized.

Hope you enjoy the instagram video.  More to come!!!

Snowboarders Among Us

Kyla tried snowboarding the other day for the first time. Randy went along for some good old fashioned downhill skiing, and took this video so we could all see the fun they had. Just slightly jealous here! ;) So, wanted to share this video with Auntie Melinda and Cousin Laura, her fellow snowboarding rebels! SEE what you've done to our daughter!

Lovin' it,

Crawlers

The boys have been having a grand old time setting up obstacle courses for their "rock crawlers" to maneuver all over the living room. The course in this video was quite tame compared to what they usually have. Couches, tables, pillows, boards, books, toys... they all make for hours of climbing fun. If only the batteries would last for hours!

And there is another little crawler in this video. See if you can spot her! She was set in motion about a week before Thanksgiving and hasn't stopped since. Although her five teeth coming in, in the last month did slow her down a couple times...uggghhh.

More on this crawling and teething business to come...

Happy Week! WE ARE COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS!

Farther On...

On this cold dark night, as we were gathered around our blazing warm fire Kyla asked if we could look up the lyrics to this song. We sang it together a couple times. I think it's our new favorite.

It is performed by a family from Southeast Alaska. We were introduced to their music on our recent trip to Alaska in September. The Father said that when they gather around their fire on their long and dark Alaskan nights, they sing and play music together. It helps them get through the winter and stay sane. You can check out their website here. The mother makes all their traditional Alaskan clothes. This is one of their favorite songs. I think I can understand why...

Seven Days of Thankfulness: Day Two

I'm thankful for a husband who takes time to play the harmonica. Sometimes on Sunday mornings he plays the hymns and sometimes in the evenings he plays to calm our fussy baby. Works every time!

What are YOU thankful for today?

So Long YouTube

Lita's six months old and it's a typical evening at the funny farm...

Well, I have never been mucha fan of YouTube, but I kinda put up with it so I could share a few videos that I knew some family and friends would like to see now and then.

Then I found out I could share videos through my smugmug account, high definition and up to 10 minutes if I upgraded my account. It's not free like YouTube but to me it's worth it.

On another note, I promised you a Tskirt tutorial... It's coming, it's coming! I wish the tutorial was as easy as the skirts were to make. Ha! Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to finish it but I promise... it'll be worth the wait!!!

And I've got some other posts coming up... A Lita Update, Some Things I Like, and a Wrap-up of Summer Post.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Two Months Old!

Melita turned 2 months old on April 14th. Here is a video for the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and anyone else who is interested. Oh, and see the soft sewn flannel blanket she's laying on in the video? Thank you Amy! ;)

She's changing so fast we can hardly keep up with her. Here are two more layouts I did for her baby book...

...and the cute knit blanket she's laying on in the above pictures? Thank you Grandma Judy!

We have received so many sweet things for Melita. I can't possibly share them all with you but I do want to point out some of the beautiful handmade things people have made for her... each gift is SO special!

While We Were Sledding...

...Mom was back at home taking care of both babies. Here is a video she took of them that I had to share. She had to take a video to assure us they were just fine while we were gone. They actually seemed to be making an effort to get to know each other! Thanks Grandma!

Today Melita is 2 months old and she's looking up at me and smiling-to cute!!! She isn't very vocal but once and a while she "talks" to us. She is starting to really respond to the kids when they talk to her-she gets SO excited... hands flying and legs kicking, smiling and cooing. I really want to remember this!

1 Month Old!

...on March 14th. I think we did this video the 15th...

Oh Ireland!

There are only two places I want to visit someday outside of the Great Ol' USofA and North America as a whole... Ireland and Norway. I may never have the opportunity but I really enjoyed seeing this video the other day. Ireland is part of my history. I think it's beautiful. I look at this day as a day to remember something of my past and share the traditions, beauty and our history with my family.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be at your back.
